There is no town in the UK that fully reflects the demographic make-up of the country.

But Kettering can be said to be a ‘typical’ UK town.

It is centrally located, thus avoiding the North/South bias. It is home to a range of different communities and does not have a strong industrial or cultural background that makes it unique.

Crucially, Kettering is a town that is not often involved in conversations such as World Wide Views – and so is not over-sampled.

Kettering is also already involved in the climate change debate, and is a signatory to the Nottingham Declaration on Climate Change.

Kettering Council are very supportive of World Wide Views and are backing the initiative.
